"Keith Anthony Morrison is an artist, critic, curator, former professor, and arts administrator. His paintings and prints have been exhibited internationally in galleries and museums. Morrison has received many awards and honors. He represented his native country, Jamaica, in the Caribbean Biennial in Santo Domingo in 1994 and the Venice Biennale in 2001. He served as an art-critic representing the United States at the 2008 Shanghai Biennale and was an art-critic for WETA-TV, a PBS station in Washington, DC. He has written for art publications and museums in the U.S. and abroad and for The Washington Post. He was a guest editor for The New Art Examiner and the author of Art in Washington and Its Afro-American Presence:1940-1970. Keith Morrison, a biography of the artist written by by Renée Ater, was published by Pomegranate Press in 2005.
