This mezzotint was made in 1908 after a painting titled Profile Portrait of a Young Lady that is usually attributed to either Piero del Pollaiuolo or his brother Antonio del Pollaiuolo. The original work, which was created circa 1470, is in the collection of Gemäldegalerie, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
