The additional French text on the bottom reads: "Ces ennemis du Ciel qui pêchent mil fois./ Contre les Saincts Décrets et les divines Loix./ Font glorie méchamment de piller et d'abattre,/ Les Temples du vrai Dieu d'une main idolâtre;/ Mais pour punition de les avoir brûlez/ Ils sont eux mesmes enfin aux flammes immolez."
Translated, this means "These enemies from Heaven who sin a thousand times/ Against the Holy judgements and the divine laws./ Glory wickely to plunder and slaughter/ The temples of the true God with an idolatrous hand;/ But as punishmnet for having them burn/ They are themselves finally immolate to the flames."
